Anyone who has kids knows that the sure fire way to incite a behaviour is to forbid it. We are governed by ideological dumb-asses.

"While all hate crimes are inexcusable no matter who they’re targeting, it’s abundantly clear that Jews are far more likely to face uncomfortable and dangerous interactions than any other group. And it’s not even close." This will be summarily dismissed by activists who claim "underreporting".

Out of curiosity, I wonder how the delta in 2023 breaks down. I.e. is there a greater increase in one group over the other?

Interesting question. For the years between 2022 and 2023, the incident numbers involving Jewish victims were 527 and 900. Muslim victimization numbers were 109 and 211 (although for some reason, 2021 saw a jump in anti-Muslim crimes: 142). Those are roughly similar rates of one-year increase.

The overall 2021-2023 numbers were 3,355, 3,612, and 4,777.
