The BBC imposes a license fee on people who own TVs. It's not technically a tax and anyone has the right to opt-out by not having a TV. Unfortunately, opting out of government spending we don't agree with isn't possible in Canada. We ignore the CBC with our attention but the problem is we can’t ignore it with our tax dollars.
That, sadly, is the part we can't fix.
