The thing about AI that GoC Directors and DGs refuse to acknowledge is that it needs clean data with a robust semantic model to work effectively and efficiently. It's no different than implementing Power BI or Cognos for analytics. If you want useful results you need to invest time and effort into data prep. This is not easy, free, or instantaneous.

Interesting. I've spoken with a number of people inside government who are working seriously with AI but I didn't push back on that point.
